Currituck County?s Mainland-the ?Gateway to the Outer Banks?-sits on Currituck Sound, which is 35 miles long and from four to 15 miles wide. Featuring a wonderfully mild climate, unparalleled natural beauty, a rich history and an astonishing variety of things to do on both water and dry land, the Currituck County Mainland is a place like no other.
